My name is Ces'Ari Garcia-Delmuro and I was born and raised in Baldwin Park, California. I am of Mexican-American and Native American decent. This October will mark my twenty-fourth birthday and I cannot wait! (It has been a while since I have been able to celebrate my birthday in California with family and friends.)

| Jorge and I like to keep things classy on a budget. |
I am married to my best friend, Jorge, and am close to my family. So close, that I decided to move back in with my parents while my husband and I pay back our student loans. I swear it really isn't that bad living with parents, but it is different from living on your own.
Prior to moving in with my parents, My husband and I moved back to California from Arizona. We were living in Phoenix during the height of SB 1070. During this time, we finished our Americorps service. I completed Teach For America meanwhile, Jorge fulfilled his duties as a Public Ally.
I suppose that this is where I should talk about education for a couple of seconds. I taught seventh grade during my service in Teach For America, but I hated teaching (loved the kids, hated the profession). Although, I could wax philosophically about education, I'd prefer to stick to things I do not already work with all day long. In other words, you will most likely not read much on education unless, it is so important that I feel the need to share it with you.
While we were in the land of cacti, my husband and I came to a deeper appreciation of our "true" friends. And since we are on the subject of friends, a small circle of tight knit friends suits me just fine! You will often read about them in my blog posts and I'm quite certain that you will love them as much as me. After all, loyal and honest friends are difficult to come by and those are the kind of people I like to keep by my side.
With teaching in the bag, I am so glad to say that we are back home and working toward our dream of becoming successful Latino professionals.

| I channel Jackie O, Jennifer Lopez and hippies simultaneously or exclusively. What can I say, I 'm a moderate liberal? |
In short, I am an intellectual girly-girl with a love for: clothes (I'd say I channel Jackie O, Jennifer Lopez and hippies simultaneously), make-up, nail polish, food, movies*/cartoons**/television***, music, history, politics and government. Oh and should I dare say it...exercising even though I am not an athlete?
*Goodfellas - favorite movie hands down.
**Cinderella - favorite cartoon next to Monsters Inc., Up, and Ratatouille.
***I love reality t.v. (Honey Boo Boo) and the Food Network!
I hope this was enough information to get your started on getting to know me! I know that I just covered a lot, but afterall, being Latina is complicated. Feel free to browse through my blog and the FAQ section to delve deeper into my world.
With Love,
Ces'Ari
